Mobile Applications Developers and Innovators (MADI) Project
About MADI:
Today, the mobile network is the world’s largest distribution and communication platform, with more than four billion subscribers worldwide. The growth rate of mobile technologies and services has been one of the highest in the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region, even amongst the poorest and underprivileged people in Palestine. Indeed, the opportunities mobile technologies are providing to Palestinian development organizations and private sector are still untapped.
Accordingly, PICTI and the Paltel Group Foundation launched the “Mobile Applications Developers and Innovators Project” (MADI) as a pilot that enables developers to collaborate with stakeholders to develop, test and deploy innovative new mobile application and services into the marketplace.
Objective of the MADI Program
The MADI Program intends on developing a cluster of community technical developers that PICTI and The Paltel Group Foundation are keen on developing through a series of guided instruction, hands-on coding exercises, and discussions, where knowledge transfer on how to create full-featured mobile applications from scratch, and the fundamentals of creating applications that look and function professionally.
The program will work to train, identify talent to develop, test and deploy mobile applications and services.
Specific objectives:
1. Promoting the development of mobile services and applications
2. Identify a community of practice related to the mobile applications development
3. to develop corporate - academia- independent development relationship. The The Paltel Group Foundation and PICTI Mobile Developer Exchange (MADI) Program will have the potential to provide support for the entire value chain, including customers, local business partners and stakeholders, developers and content providers and solutions partners. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program that is also catered to develop the information and communications technology sector.
