Reducing Gender Inequalities in the Occupied Palestinian Territories

PICTI in partnership with Alianza Por La Solidaridad (APS), Women’s Technical Affairs Committee (WATC), Palestinian Family Planning and Protection Association (PFPPA), The Culture and Free Thought Association (CFTA) are implementing this project (2019 – 2023) which is funded by The Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID).

The specific objective of the project is “Contribute to recognition and full exercise of a Right to Life free of Violence and Economic Rights of Palestinian women in West Bank (Area C) and Gaza”. The intervention is designed with a multisectoral approach including 3 action lines that are complementary and that will be all implemented both in West Bank and Gaza. On the one hand, the program will strengthen protection systems for women survivors or at risk of GBV. Complementarily, the program will promote actions to allow their economic autonomy and labor insertion of women in non-traditional economic sectors. Finally, the program will reinforce women organizations capacities for advocacy and their full exercise of active citizenship.
